Meaning-Making in a Pandemic
Nobody knows how best to live meaningfully, in a pandemic or otherwise. But, this doesn’t mean that we have no good ideas, or that we know nothing. To the contrary, interdisciplinary university communities offer great insight into how to personally and socially build meaningful lives—especially in times of difficulty and confusion. This course gives students an interdisciplinary lens on life in a pandemic. Students will learn to apply insights and knowledge from a variety of disciplines to their own lives, focusing particularly on the social and political worlds impacted by COVID-19. Living meaningfully in a pandemic means successfully navigating a bewildering array of media to make thoughtful decisions in concert with others.
